About

I believe that what differentiates a man of strength from a man of failure is their heart.

A true warrior lives and dies not by what society tells them, but by what they truly believe in. Not by what the odds may seem like, but by their strength to press on when no one else can.

If you ever get hurt and you feel that you are going down, listen to your heart say…. GET UP!

Things change when you CHOOSE to stand up and FIGHT BACK!

It’s going that one more round, when you don’t think you can that will make all the difference in your life.

That is what it means to have the Warriors Edge.

Do you have or want that Warriors Edge? Join me

Warriors Edge Training Systems

I help people achieve that warriors edge by combining the best from every principle and method from both athletic strength & conditioning and martial arts to form a training system dedicated to forging a body you are proud of, a body that can express itself with athletic movement, and a body with the strength to stand up when no one else can.

This is a training system that focuses on unleashing the warrior within by training you as a high level athlete, particularly a combat athlete. If you have ever wanted to train like a real fighter, then this is the place for you. I believe in building a body not only looks good, but also can perform at its highest capacity. If you want to build biceps, you’re going to get good at the chin up. If you want to build shoulders, it’s time to tackle the handstand pushup. Tired of just jogging? Let’s learn some real martial art skills that will not only burn fat fast, but may save your life one day or get you interested in competing as a fighter.

I believe in doing this by working hard and working smart. Nothing I share is ever shared half-haphazardly. Everything that I teach comes from a combination of science and personal experience.

Some of the things you will be exposed to are:

-Heavy lifting

-Bodyweight skills

-Gymnastics

-Tumbling

-Martial Arts

-Mobility

-Flexibility

-Barefoot Training -Sprinting, jumping, crawling, carrying, and climbing

And more….

I do this all in an effort to help you get jacked, shredded, and freaking athletic.

Once you go in search for the Warriors Edge, you will never look back.

About Danavir Sarria

My name is Danavir Sarria aka the Warrior Strength Coach (or you can call me Dan) and I’m the owner of Warriors Edge Training Systems. For those only looking for a quick summary, I am a trainer, consultant, writer, entrepreneur, martial arts instructor, motivational freak, and certified bad ass.

Hahaha…

Moving on, the first physical endeavor I ever took part in was back when I was 5 years old where my dad introduced me to martial arts. He knew back then that I wouldn’t be tall (I’m 5’7′ now) and he didn’t want any pesky kids taking advantage of me and bullying me, so he taught me a couple of moves here and there. On a side note: I was a fat kid. I was 110 pounds in the middle of first grade.

At the age of 7, I started taking formal karate classes and I quickly fell in love with all things combat. Although I was not formally taught how to be the “bad ass” I am now, I did learn the basics of fighting and athletic movement patterns.

From there on out though, martial arts and it’s philosophies were ingrained into my life. It was and still is who I am.

When I was 8, I also got myself into baseball where I had the dream of becoming a pro ball player for the (at the time) Florida Marlins (now Miami Marlins). Although for the next 8 years, martial arts where not the focus of my life, it was still a big part of it. Instead I focused on baseball and the dream of hitting a grand slam in the 9th inning, of the last game in the World Series, with a 3-2 count and being down in the game 3-0.

Skipping a couple of years, I had a best friend in middle school. He was the pinnacle of strength and health as a 12 year old. He was jacked and shredded at such a young age. Heck, he probably was more jacked and shredded back then than most people are now! Being best friends, we made a pact to teach other our skills. I would teach him how to kick ass with martial arts and he taught me the finer points of fitness. Although I have been doing pushups all my life, he was the first to teach me how to do them correctly (and it’s still the form I use today). He also helped me to do my first pull up.

In the 7th grade, I was a dough boy inspired 185 pounds (standing at 5′ 5′ at the time) and with his help, I got down to around 1. Although the martial arts lessons I gave him didn’t turn out as well as I hoped, his fitness lessons made me hungry to learn more and my life was forever changed.

Going into the 9th grade, I got accepted into my highschool’s summer baseball program and paid like $200 for 2 month of strength & conditioning from a strength coach. This was the first time I was ever exposed to such a thing. By the end of the 2 months, I was one of the best squatters on the entire team (minus the seniors) and my body was never more healthy, fit, and kick ass athletically.

By the end of 10th grade though, my life and ego took a huge hit when I had to quit baseball due to a combination of needing time to bring my grades up (or be kicked out of the IB program) and just not loving the game as much as I used to (no thanks to the coaches). It was around this time though that I started teaching people about fitness.

With baseball not a part of my life anymore, martial arts became my sport again. With the rise of the UFC, I became incredibly interested in many different martial arts, their applications in both self defense and sport, and their philosophies.

By the end of 10th grade, I wasn’t too confident in myself. I knew I could kick ass if I had to fight, but I was never had a real healthy self esteem. Again, I decided I needed to make something happen and delved into self help stuff. I read and listened to tons of stuff, especially from Tony Robbins. After that stage, low self esteem and poor outlook of the future were completely removed from my vocabulary forever. From there on out, I fell in love with motivation and helping both myself and others to never ever quit.

By the middle of the 11th grade, I finally hit gold when it came to fitness. I stopped listening to fitness guru’s who, although giving decent information, where not giving me the real “meat” of strength & conditioning (ironic, as I have been a lifelong vegetarian, ha!).

This is where I finally started to delved into the real science of human performance. To backtrack, my training was never only about looking good. Coming from an athletic background, everything I did had athletic preparation in mind so I can better kick ass at martial arts. Now that I was exposed to the ideas of the worlds best coaches and the training methodologies that are derived from the Soviet Union (which are still much more ahead than modern fitness), I could really start becoming the best coach I could possibly be.

Ever since then, I have been relentless with my effort to become the best coach I could possibly be.

Fast forwarding to the very first day of 2012, I created DanavirSarria.com to teach people how to build a body that not only talks the talk, but also walks to the walk by training every single person the same way I would as if I were training as an MMA fighter to get ready for his fight.

Yes, that means you’ll build that warriors physique while performing like him too!

I have also been featured in:

Here are a couple of other things about me you might fight interesting:

-I am OBSESSED with martial art movies (I love Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, and Tony Jaa).

-Dragon Ball Z and Rurouni Kenshin where probably my two favorite shows ever as a child. Goku and his Super Saiyan transformations and Kenshin with his samurai bad assery was just too…bad ass hahaha.

-I am a MMA fanatic (as of now, I’m thinking of competing in MMA).

-My favorite current MMA fighters are Clay Guida, George St. Pierre, and Anderson Silva.

-I really like deadlifting. I really do.

-I regularly watch youtube videos of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

-Rocky Balboa is my favorite series of movies ever. Even more so than other martial art movies.

-I’m into motivation and entrepreneurship as much as I am into fitness and martial arts.

-I can do a split and kick someones head at 6’5′ without jumping.

-I’m what you would call an “opportunistic optimist”. Someone who is super freaking optimistic, but practical and down to earth enough to see and take advantage of the opportunities to succeed.

-I love my Disney. Particularly Mulan, Hercules, and Lion King (especially Lion King).

-I get scared all the dam time, but I always overcome the fear and do what I have to do.

-My nicknames include: Dan, Dan The Man, Ninja, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan.

-I’m nice and I don’t bite, but I do kick!

-I enjoy getting people to laugh and smile. It’s what I do.

-I’m HUGE into the philosophy of martial arts and that whole “way of the warrior” thing.

-I want to own the #1 gym in the United States were I could train combat athletes.

-I go hardcore when it comes to training and business building

-I love helping people succeed. It is the one thing that drives me to do everything that I do today.

What Do People Say About Me

As a baseball player, I always wanted to be bigger, faster and stronger. I would look into websites, desperately seeking ways to reach my goals. In 10th grade, I was cut from the team. I wasn’t in shape. I wasn’t really considered a “real” ball player due to my lack of size and strength. Yes, I’ll hit the ball hard but I know that hitting the ball hard wasn’t my ticket to my goals. Eventually, I turned to Danavir. He was always there to provide me with the necessary work outs to improve strength, size, and power.

In no time, I saw my body changing. I gained muscle mass and eventually I saw a change in how I hit the ball. My legs are like tree trunks. My arms are relatively bigger. And most importantly, I don’t get tired that often, compared to my unfit days. I also noticed that back then, it took a lot of effort to smack the ball out. Now with less effort, the ball jumps out of my wood bats like nothing and I know it was because of my training with Danavir. I always turn to him whenever I need a training program, either for fat loss, core strengthening, power, strength…etc. If you want to achieve you fat loss goals, build muscle and be a great athlete in your specific sport, I suggest you turn to Danavir.

After wrestling season was over in highschool, I needed a way to stay in shape and add muscle to my frame. Danavir and his workout plan helped me change the look of my body for the better! I didn’t have self esteem issues but after the results I was seeing a couple weeks into the program, my confidence still skyrocketed. I ended up packing over 15 pounds of pure muscle in 12 weeks to my formerly small frame. I was bigger and stronger than ever before and everyone noticed!

The main reason I went to Danavir for help was that when he talks to you he doesn’t see you as a customer but more like a family member, he is not the type of person to steer someone wrong. I’ve heard nightmare stories from friends about their trainers and plans that don’t seem to work, but with Danavir you get results! Danavir knows what he is doing because he understands what the body needs and can personalize a plan just for you, depending on what you want. I can’t recommend anyone better. Thanks Danavir for all of your help!
